Towards An Aesthetics of Cognitive-parametric Music
This book is structured in two parts.
The first part showcases the speculative thinking originating this aesthetics and summarizes the knowledge that fundaments it.
This new aesthetics focuses on a type of music that avoids parametric centralities(it is based on parametric materials (for example, a parametric modulation, or a scale of parameters)) and in cognitive tensioning instead of material tensioning.
The second part is dedicated to analyzing three works in which those techniques and aesthetics are used. In those analyses, you can find a detailed explanation of the new parametric materials and their use in three works.
